Canon EOS 10d--what a camera!!

Just came home with a canon eos 10d (digital slr) camera yesterday and have been playing around ever since. The camera will be used for 'normal' photography (I have other things for astro ). Anyway, all I can say is WOW!!!! (granted I should be saying that for what I payed for the darn thing)...You name it, it can do it. I'm absolutely amazed by what the thing can do in available light (can work at any color temp. as well)

Congrats Andy! I'm sure you'll have a blast with that camera, as it seems a winner!
Please keep those pics coming our way!

Clear dark skies!

thanks--yes, I plan on doing some really neat stuff with this camera. I have no qualms at all on working with the ISO1600 setting; it does get fairly noisy when you see it at full res, but it filters out extremely cleanly. The opportunities that open up at that speed rating are huge...I don't think any film photos can be taken at that speed with anywhere near the resolution this thing can give me (at modest formats at least). It does take about 10 minutes to run one of the full res pictures through NeatImage, but the results are well worth it...
