General Jehosafat may have been a myth

Just spent 2 1/2 hours catching up on the off-topic forum since Feb 13.(had 8 family guests over the holidays).

Piecing together the past, and the present in light of his sudden removal.....I came to this disappointing conclusion.

1. The *Lt. to Major General* started in 1909 per his Feb. 4th post. If he were 16 yrs old when he joined he's 110 yrs. old now.

2. The claim of *calling the White House* (implying talking to the President)....to advise "Nuking" Saddam, (this from a person clearly over 100) would be interpreted by White House screening staff as a "5150" on the line.

3. The FBI etc. "protecting him from those pursuing him" sounded a little fishy. We have a Federal concealment program for such things and the last thing you would do is bring attention to yourself.

3. If an alias were really necessary, it would normally be accompanied with a change of name, new identity, with new documentation, a new address & phone etc. which could be used anywhere.

4. My conclusion after reading all of his posts is.....he most likely was NOT a Marine EITHER!. He doesn't shoot like a Marine!. My rapid fire at 300 yards with an M1 Garand both sitting and kneeling was 20 out of 20 in the black where all but 2 could be covered by a 6 inch spotter. At 500 yards prone position, 10 out of 10 in the black but no grouping. My offhand at 200 yards was a disaster....no black at all but still on the target after 10 shots. I weighed 132 Lbs. after Korea, and the rifle was 9 Lbs. Very heavy for me at offhand being a lightweight. His 100 yard shooting stinks!.

5. So General......if you read this.....

Like I said, looney.

Greg

PS, I think that he was quoting someone else in his Feb. 4th post.

PPS, Was that shooting with open sights? Not bad.

"Though parted by a gulf more impassable than any sea, the telescope lets us traverse what otherwise had been barred and lands us at last above the shores we went forth to seek. Real the journey is, though incorporeal in kind. Since the seeing strange sights is the essence of all far wanderings, it is as truly tavel so the eye arrive as if the body kept it company."
