Your suggestion to investigate the properties of Chromacor are well advised!.

I read http://www.cloudynights.com/accessories/chromacor.htm review and others.....

Being of restricted budget,(wife's orders)...I am now staring at a very nervous "RoadKill" in the garage.

RoadKill is the name of a heavy '60's vintage fiberglass boat that I've conducted speed experiments & various speed related inventions on in the recent past. It could provide the funds for a Chromacor and other needed items that would transform my CR150 into a REAL telescope!.

Thanks to you illuminaries for that info!. -Larry

yes, the chromacor was basically designed for your synta 6". Just be sure to do get a very good estimate of your spherical correction; there are several different models depending on if your scope is over/under corrected, etc. Best of luck my friend...
