Time Travel

Dr. Ronald Mallett of the University of Connecticut is working on time travel using high powered lasers.

He feels that someday we will be able to travel in time, especially to send information. But consider what if we could send ourselves!

But there is a small hitch. Where we were then is not where we are now. Considering the the earth is revolving, that we're going around the sun, that the sun is headed toward another star, that the galaxy is revolving, that the galaxy as a whole is moving toward Andromeda , that the whole super cluster is on the move, and that the universe is expanding can we accurately vector to a point in space where the earth was say on April 16, 1962?

How's that for a brain teaser?

Besides that you need some incentive. I mean, let's face it, the past sucked. Who wants to go there? 8)

On deeper consideration the place wouldn't be a problem if you took the machine with you. If you think about it for awhile you'll find that you and the entire machine go back in time. Therefore the surroundings would change around you and where you where in space-time wouldn't make any difference because you'd be traveling in space-time rather than just time itself.

Heck, I don't need to go that far back at all, I just need to go back to this past Saturday, so I can play the LOTTO numbers, and come back rich... than I could afford all this Astronomy stuff without having to work so hard for it! 8) LOL!
