I was looking at VWs website the other day and it looks like they don't have anything in the U.S. that gets more than 30 miles per gallon. It looks like everything has the same standard 2.5 liter engine. Pretty much any GM car in any size category will get 30 miles per gallon. In the past, VWs were always among the most fuel efficient cars on the road and they seemed to have lots of cars with EPA ratings in the high 30s and low 40s on the highway. What gives?

I have several telescopes, but none are semi-APO, APO, or in anyway valuable.

Yeah Lee, These little cars are pumped up now. I've been driving down the highway doing around 85 with my 350 cubic inch motor in my sport pickup,Chevey ofcourse and one of these little babies buzzed pass like I was sitting still. I had plenty of petal left but I was'nt as in big of hurry as this guy.
They might look like a bug but they don't build em like they used to, these little guy's will fly now.
Regards, Darrell

german cars are a lot of things, but fuel efficient they aint!

for the north american market models that is.

my german compact sedan with a 3L straight 6 weighs MORE than a toyota avalon my uncle has, and gets worse mileage (20/30 vs 22/31) than the land yacht.

yet that being said, german cars are simply SOLID. it rides through bumps and potholes with nary a rattle. no other sub-100k cars i've been in are remotely comparable.

and the HANDLING, the BRAKES, the STEERING FEEL wink
