Grocery Prices

Kind of an odd take, given that mild inflation data is propelling the markets to new records yesterday and today, just as you posted this thread.   https://cnb.cx/3L4REYf

p.s.  You don't eat beef, right?  Do you drink a ton of coffee?  

Well, Halloween candy is very expensive this year. We get a ton of kids and I've spent over $50 bucks on 200+ treats. And they are much smaller pieces than the fun size which we gave out for years. 

Yeah, beef is really high priced. The only time I eat it now is when I go to my favorite hamburger joint. 

I just bought 13 good sized chicken legs for $6.34 that are going to be BBQ smoked tomorrow for college game day. Michigan/Michigan State tomorrow night. Go Blue.

The market?  I don't think that was Rod's point.  Have you been to the grocery store or hardware store or a restaurant lately?  Everything is more expensive, notwithstanding the orange clown's proclamations to the contrary.

Of course.   I do all the shopping.   It was an inside joke between Rod and me.   He always posts a thread when the market tanks.   I’ve been teasing him about it for years, decades even.   Now the markets are soaring, because overall inflation is soft….   Food notwithstanding. Worth a mention, given our 22 years of context! I think Rod got my joke, but it was subtle.  Sorry if you thought I was unaware  of the price of beef!  😳

Speaking of the price of beef, today I won the golf competition. The prize was a gift certificate at the local butcher. Nice... except I am a vegetarian! I am allergic to meat!

Here's what I've been looking at over the  weekend Jim:    Galaxies, galaxies, galaxies and still more galaxies! Got that?! Galaxies! I'm still jazzed about the number and overall degree of clarity I could see over the course of 5 hours of observation dedicated to observing galaxies in Andromeda, Pegasus, Pisces, and Cetus.

So, Jim, why in the world would you be be doing "all the shopping" and looking at GROCERY PRICES when you could be looking at GALAXIES? I don't believe it! I mean geez man, get a grip, Jim!!!
