On a more agreeable point, and one of leavity that I feel is needed at this time, I heard a good one about Melania's new "documentary" movie that is being panned by all who have seen it.
In particular, one critic said it was so bad that even people on a plane would get up and walk out...

Frame by frame

Note the position of the shooter's feet at the time of the shots.  He wasn't being run over or 'hit'.

I’m not defending the Cop, but you completely ignored the point of my question.  They told her to get out of the car, but she disobeyed and tried to leave instead.  Ignoring the police orders in this situation is what makes it analogous to what you posted above.

Recall what you said: “If you advance on a cop, armed or not, who tells you to stop and you just keep advancing - you're gonna get shot and it would be a righteous shoot every time.”

Based on the video, I do not think her shooting was necessary, as I have posted many times. That said, I realize cops can make horrible errors without murderous intent, especially in a very tense situation when their clear orders are disobeyed.  It is quite possible the cop erroneously thought she was advancing on him or others after she had been told to get out of the car.

p.s.   we all think that the cop who shot Good was not “being advanced on” because we have the benefit of several videos to view after the fact.   We ought to acknowledge however, that in the chaos of the moment, this shooting might have been seen to fit Dave’s criterial for a justified shooting:  1 advancing on the cop, and 2 refusing to stop when ordered to do so.

No matter what the resolution of this issue is, the fact that ICE was conducting these illegal sweeps, designed to escalate and wreak havoc on a community, is the entire reason this happened.
I repeat, it is America's version of a Gestapo intimidating citizens.

ps And yes, I am not accidentally or frivolously using the term Gestapo.

I have to wonder if they'd act this way if they weren't hiding behind those masks. Cowards.

Accidentally?  Of course not, you made it very clear in the “shit faced” post of the “November” thread that you find extreme pejoratives to be an  effective communication technique, even though you seemed to acknowledge that the pejorative is historically inaccurate in any literal sense.  As you asked of me, I’m over it…. sort of.

Frivolous?   Maybe not, but too close to Holocaust trivialization for me to be comfortable with it.

p.s. on edit - If it is not obvious from previous posts, I'm saying the above without condoning the administration's abhorrent "enhanced enforcement policies" at all.  I totally understand why you are justifiably angry and agree with you.
