They just aren't REAL jobs...

They are jobs for those statists and socialists who take YOUR money to line THEIR pockets... some quick facts that ought to give anyone who has half a brain pause:

In the 18 months after the collapse of Lehman Brothers in September 2008, over seven million Americans lost their jobs, yet the percentage of federal bureaucrats earning $100,000 or more went up from 14 per cent to 19 per cent.

An economic downturn for you, but not for THEM!

At the start of the “downturn” the Department of Transportation had just one employee earning more than $170,000 per year - the HEAD!

Eighteen months later - under Obama, Pelosi and Reid's "leadership", it now has 1,690.

In the year after the passage of Obama’s “stimulus”, the private sector lost 2.5 million jobs, but the federal government gained 416,000 jobs.

Anyone wonder why SEIU, Teachers Unions, and all the other socialists, statist, progressives, Democrats and Obamunistas want the power to tax and spend???

Wake up America...

For the record, $100,000 in the Washington, D.C., area is NOT a lot of money. If you do a cost of living comparison, 100k in Tallahassee has to be $145K in D.C. Houses and condos are still insanely expensive. Commutes are insanely long and expensive. The D.C. metro area extends all the way into West Virginia, down to Fredericksburg, and north of Baltimore and Pennsylvania. Workers have to take trains, busses, subways, and carpools to work.

While government contracting sounds lucrative, as soon as you get comfortable, they recompete the contract or they lay people off with each delivery order. In addition, organizations are trying to be the low bidder. Defense contractor and government agencies are not even approaching private sector salaries for equivalent skill sets. You put up with people targeting your bus or train for terror attack or other weirdness. You have to get a background check and a clearance.

Teachers in Leon County, Florida, have not had a raise for 3 years. State Gov't workers here didn't get a raise for 3 years before that. My public sector employer didn't give raises this year and may not do so for another year or TWO! There are no bonuses. I make 25% less in the public sector than I did in the private sector for a Fortune 100 company. I will fix this soon and the people will get the government they deserve. But, it is something to be mindful of when voting.
