Trump delivered a speech Wednesday night at the RNC's Midterm Convention in Dallas, pledging to issue $5,000 dividends if GOP candidates secure majorities in both the House and Senate.

On the other hand, for rational people, it was indeed pretty clear from the context of my post that I was implying you are indeed a fool, and an extreme fool at that. I’m glad you caught my drift.

This  little  example of pedantic gamesmanship is instructive, because I don’t think Trump‘s statements would ever be prosecuted as criminal bribery. On the other hand, it is clear to everyone with half a brain that Trump was trying to buy votes. I’m not as fussed about it as some since I think all politicians do this. For example, Biden was trying to buy votes when he canceled student debt. Trump was trying to buy votes when he passed the big beautiful Bill. Biden was trying to buy votes when he passed the inflation reduction act, and so on and so on and so on. Bottom line, it is pretty darn hilarious to see you strut about (metaphorically) and resort to pedantic nitpicking to defend the indefensible.
Other than to laugh out loud at your attempt to weasel out of your words, the only suitable response would be to say that I've seen some extreme examples of spin in that first paragraph of yours, and then I've seen the Academy award winning example of it, in your reply above.

So then let me try to make sense of your convoluted thinking and the mentally deranged thinking, coming out of your warped brain here.smile  You addressed my post, then sideswiped in a drive by attempt for a record breaking 2nd time at an insult, then claimed you were NOT calling me out "directly", but then you actually have the balls in your second paragraph to admit that "indeed it was pretty clear from the context of my post that I was implying you are indeed a fool, and an extreme fool at that", which were YOUR words, and then say "I'm glad you caught my drift"?

I have to say that i can't even imagine what it is like in your household to even think of the bizarre conversations that must take place in that domicile of yours there, when you are involved.  Do the others look at you most of the time with a glazed look of confusion across their collective faces, when you start into your fits of mental madness???

Honestly, I would love to be a fly on the wall then just to see their dropped jaws!  LOL. Tell your wife to have the straightjacket ready to have those men in the clean white coats show up to take you away.

I can only imagine that your word salad above and your unhinged mental state, where you epitomize the phrase "baffle another with complete bullshit" will play well with the rest of the leftist loons here on this forum of psychotic mentally challenged midgets.

I can't be positive but your response above clearly indicates as I have stated many times before, you don't have the balls to engage in a rational dialogue, and that certainly proved out in your reply above.  tongue

Your legendary lack of self awareness tee’d up perfectly for all to see.   Also, on the lack of dialog part, you intentionally overlooked my comments about bribery.   I’ll explain why you overlooked this, since you won’t admit as much:   (I’ll try to keep it simple!)

1. In my opinion, Trump would not be convicted of criminal bribery, because his offer to buy votes with government money was vague enough to be characterized in court as a routine “political promise” that he has no intention and no means to keep.   He carefully did not offer his own money for votes.   He offered my money, Rod’s money, and so on.  Maybe even yours.  (Do you pay taxes?).   There is enough ambiguity in his speech that I’m sure he would weasel out of actual criminal charges.

2.  In my opinion, Trump’s offer as made in his speech was a shameful heavy-handed lie, poorly conceived to buy votes.   It is an embarrassment and proves for the umpteenth time that he lacks any integrity.

3.  My guess is that you agree with points 1 and 2, which is why you must resort to argument by pedantic nit-picking.   Note how you ignored Rod’s request to explain what the $5000 offer was, if not bribery.   You’ll never explain this because to do so would involve agreeing with us that this speech was a shameful lie at best, and agreeing with us is something you can never  do.   Sad.

It never ceases to amaze me how you leftists can't handle being challenged and then go back to the same old tired talking points.

Let me just say that it takes an IQ of single digits to understand that all politicians make promises.

Here's a fact that doesn't ever enter your empty leftist head, making promises to do something, i.e. offer up bonuses to ALL Americans isn't a bribe, when he says "IF the Republicans win.... this will happen".

Just as when the Democrat party candidates tell their constituents that IF they are elected, they will give Parents with school age children a tax credit of $2000 Per child IF they win.

Here's my challenge for you:  Explain the difference between that campaign promise and Trump's promise?

Not to worry as I know you will ignore that question because it would set your 4 brain cells on fire if you had to think about it.  grin

You'll dodge that queson as usual, and so you are free to live in your fantasy world that guides you through your massive TDS..

P.S. Because you will have every lapdog sycophant here agreeing with you, when you come up with more idiocy, I suggest you don't let that get to your swelled egomaniacal head, because the best analogy is that you go into a classroom full of mentally challenged idiots, tell them that 4 + 4 is 42 and have them all agree with you.

Now I realize that any validation for you by the brain trust here makes you think that you are some sort of sage of wisdom, I can assure you that you are not.  tongue

Well, as usual, Davis dodges my question as to whether or not he thinks Trump's quid pro quo proposal of $5000.00 per USA adult is a reasonable and rational idea from the president on the United States.

As for child care, I guess Davis forgets that Trump account for kids : " Children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, are eligible for a one-time $1,000 contribution from the U.S. Treasury." And that, of course, adds to the deficit, although it's a "paltry" 17 billion over the course of a decade so, when ya gotta 40 trillion dollar deficit now, what's the diff?

Oh, and one more thing, Trump's $5000/USA adult would add 1.3 trillion to the deficit---now we're talking!...So, Rich, do you support Trump's proposal and, if so, why?

Common Rich and answer---you know everybody here values your opinion...

I never dodge questions.  People who have been reading my posts for over 20 years know this quite well.  I often ignore rants and taunts.

Indeed, I pretty much agree with the campaign promise vs. bribe distinction you outlined above.  You would know this already, if you had any reading comprehension whatsoever.  You probably do know my position, although you are acting like I dodged, or as if my position were actually far to the left of yours.  Anything to avoid the mere appearance of agreeing with a "leftist" I guess.  It is sad.

Of course, one real difference between the two promises/bribes you mention is that Trump either:  A) knows his campaign promise/bribe is a naked lie, because the math simply does not work out.  The trillions in new deficit would obviously be catastrophic.  or, B) he is too stupid to know this.

Either way it is not a good look for the POTUS.

Just checking in to see if there were any new posts.  Not surprisingly, Rich has gone dark.  Everyone should try to wrap their heads around something I noticed upon re-read.  Rich basically, regurgitates my positions, and then accuses me of dodging!  That is a special kind of weird.  If you don't believe me, consider that Rich posted the above (in post #34) after I posted:

Pretty par for the course. He's a waste of time.
