So I am caught up on the hearings......and with all the BS being spouted in here about them.

1. 20 million viewers. How many folks voted in the election? 180 million or therebouts? Dismal turnout for the hearings anyway you look at it.

2. Televised, hired someone to make into a series production, scripted. Long on accusations and short on evidence just like the impeachment....Mostly a bait load of Orange Man Bad, no surprises there.

3. Cheney being one of the worst, spewing forth accusations with little or no substance. Started off ranting about how Trump did not condemn the violence. Yet he did pretty much immediately during the event in a video as well as 2 or 3 tweets that was blocked on twitter and also in a Oval office address to the nation a week later....She went on to say he used the words "love in the air" about it when that was about the "Stop the Steal Rally" not about the events of Jan 6th.....

Several twitter posts condemning the violence and requesting the protest be peaceful from Trump during the event were removed by twitter as well as a video he put up from the Rose garden requesting the same.....

One of two tweets he made during the event said "Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement, they are truly on the side of our country. Stay peaceful!"

The other said "I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the party of law & order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!"

Both tweets as well as the video from the Rose Garden that was put up about an hour later were taken down by twitter..... I also recall watching when he was addressing the crowd and asked that they march on down to protest PEACEFULLY.....

Just the above tells me enough to understand we are witnessing a witch hunt being thrown up in desperation to keep Trump from running again.....I wouldnt be willing to bet it is going to work.

We've gone through most of Trump's response to the actions of the capitol hill mob on a past thread about it. To even state that his response was "immediate" let alone adequate, is moronic. His own advisors were imploring him to call it off and all the while he sat smiling watching it on his TV. What the hell do you think all those messages from Hannity and others to do something about it were about? Have you even read them? You don't even know what the ---- you're talking about!

What a guy that Donald Trump is. He made those tweets at 7:38 PM and 8:13 PM EST. He must have thought they weren't urgent. Besides, he was too busy earlier watching TV cheering on his supporters.
