What would be the point of creating man without free will? Without free will there would be no sin, no moral responsibility, no need for the Bible or Commandments.

Free will allows for man to have choice. Would you want it any other way? Without free will there would be no pain or suffering but you would be merely an animation.

The concept of "Free Will" arises out of the desire to dispell the idea that man (human individuals)has a pre-destined future.

As we increase our ability to correlate various siurces of data, we increase our ability to predict outcomes of many different mico-systems that we are part of or are monitoring.

Our ability to predict how we "will" behave is only limited by our knowledge of our enviroment and our ability to organize and correlate the data.

A person's "free will" is the synthesis of his intinsic makeup and the environment in which he interacts. We are born with an I.Q. quotient, a set of personality traits and a physical body.

If we were born in the United States 30 years ago, there is an 88 percent chance we will beleive there is a god. There is a 70 percent chance we will adopt a Christian religious sect as a spiritual association.

If we were born in India, there is a better than 50 percent chance we will believe in a god. There is less than a 10 percent chance we will adopt a Christian sect for our religious association.

The analogies are endless...

Life is a precious gift...but...things are simply inevitable. Enjoy the gift, but accept the inherent limitations with an open mind.

We have free will because of the Uncertainty Principal. Without quantum probabilities the fate of the entire universe would be written in stone. There is no doubt and there is proof to 11 decimal places that quantum mechanics IS the reason we have free will and that you can not compute the fate of yourself or the universe. That is a scientifically proven fact.

The question is, did God create quantum mechanics so that we would have free will. If he did, it was a pretty clever trick and something certainly worthy and in keeping with an all powerful creator.

And before you react and say "NO NO it's God and you He does it by his will...." think about how incredible quantum mechanics is and how that might just be what a God would do. Something so incredibly small in inconspicuous, woven into the fabric of the universe: not magic but design.

What about the fact that we humans, like everything else in this universe, are made up of atoms, and therefore subject to the same physical laws which govern these atoms? Aren't we then all just the affect of one physical law after another, thus not giving us no free will?
