Hi !!
I would like to buy a deep sky imager to use with a 12"LX90GPS telescope that I have, but I don't know if I will be able to use it since I don't have a wedge.
I see in the little tutorial video they have at the MEADE web site, that they use the camera with a telescope without a wedge.
will that work?
thanks,

Alvaro Garay

Hi Alvaro,
Absolutely, just keep the exposures shorter, like 30 secs to 60 secs and you should be able to do pretty well. If there is a little rotation, the software can take care of that when you stack the frames.

Alvaro, you'll be able to use it with your scope, no matter if you have a wedge or not...
The only issue is that you'll ONLY be able to take SHORTER exposure shots, like in the 30+/- second range. For longer shots you'll need a wedge.

This "sample" shot was taken in Alt-Az, no wedge, using a 10" LX-200GPS and a combination of 30second shots... 8)
