First deep sky image - M42

Hi all. Here's a modest first attempt at M42 taken last night with a new (to me) TMB 80/480 unguided 4 x 30sec with 3 x 20sec for the core. Camera was the Olympus E1 with dark frame subtraction done by the camera on each sub. Stacked and processed in Photoshop CS2. No light pollution filter used, just IR block so some detail was lost extracting the street light glow...

Thanks for looking.

Tim

Thats a good image Tim. Most folks on this site will clip alot of data in there images and get a very unattractive jet black sky. You've done a fine job on removing most of the unwanted light pollution while keeping a more realistic sky. Good work!!
