I finally got a night with little wind and was itching to shoot at some longer FLs (I shot in 60mph gusts with the E180 the previous night). The seeing was cruddy, so I went for RGB for the M1 Ha I had shot earlier. The bad seeing made for some really bloated stars, so I didn't bring them out as much as I might have. I would have liked to get the inner cotton-candy structure but it wasn't going to happen with the seeing.

Hello Dean,

very nice shot! I particularly like the detail within the nebula. The stars, as you said, would need a night with better seeing, but the overall image is quite nice anyhow.

Dean, two things...

1. Amazing detail on the bright nebula tendrils... beautiful!
2. Sweet equipment you are using... congrats!

Keep those great shots coming! 8)

Dean,
I agree - cool detail in the nebula veins, too bad about the stars and internal detail. Its nice to have high expectations but many (including me) would be delighted to get the image you did get.
