Another test shot from the RCOS 12". These are 6 5 minute subs on an STL-11k-C from the back yard. I am very encouraged about this scope. I will be putting it up in an observatory in Anza, CA over the next year. FInally getting a permanent observatory. It only took 40 years!

It seems to be working OK. I do see what appears to be tilt in the image. The upper half the stars are egged, the lower half not so much. Should see if you have some sag or something going on here. smile

Hi Russ,
Good comments the only thing from a setup perspective I can add to Floyd and Roland is that it looks like there might in addition be slight field rotation from polar alignment, was the guider in the upper right of the image. Also a couple of dust motes that a flat field at that rotational azimuth will take out?

All of that aside, very nice first light images! Congratulations on realizing your 40 year dream!! 8) Looks like a great imaging setup. Imaging remote for the first time is a combination of terror, joy and relief. Seeing the first images come down is an amazing experience, like the first view through a telescope that hooked you on the hobby. After more than two years of remote imaging I still get a thrill every time... Again congratulations, and keep those images coming...
