M45 Q&D

Hi All,

My STL11K started giving me blooms on bright stars when using the FSQ at F5 so I adjusted it as per SBIG's instructions and I spent last night running some alignment and PEM chores before testing for blooms with M45. I only had three or so hours to shoot hence I consider this one a quick and dirty (Q&D) smile. Not only are the blooms gone, the stars are smaller and the halos less pronounced, but all this with minimum loss of gain. Still impressed with how deep I can go in such a short time at F5. There are a couple of mag 17 galaxies and asteroids in the image.

Image data is on my website:

It's all starting to click now smile.

Best,

Thats a great wide field image Jose. Looks like there is some very faint nebula that extends well past M45. I'm sure that if you went with some longer exposures you would have a very unique image. Well done.
