As a follow up to the previous post, I imaged M66 on 1/9/2010 using a C11 @ f/11.5, ST8XME, CFW10 Astrodon filters and an AO8. 20x5min Lum 2x2, 6x5min RGB 2x2 at -40C. First color out of CCDStack and no further processing.

Nice! I like the image scale.
Cheers,

Another nice image Chris.

I saw a thread on your Abell 13 shot about the data being clipped on the black point side of the histogram. It looks like the same thing is going on with this image as well. Less clipping of the black point in your images will allow more of the faint outer areas of the galaxy to show.

Also, when I opened up your image in Photoshop, I got a warning that your image does not have an embedded color profile. If you are using Photoshop, you can tell the software to assign an sRGB profile to the image by going to Edit --> Assign Profile or Edit --> Convert to Profile.

Saving your image with an sRGB color profile will allow our browsers to accurately [nearly accurately] render your image so we see it the same as you see it on your monitor [allowing of course for differences in monitors and adjustments].

Nice image.
