Well group...I should be embarrassed to post this as the exposure time was so short (6 minutes...15 sec subs)...and I fought clouds, a poor polar alignment and could not get the guide to guide...but here it is anyway. Taken with my DSI-Pro thru my Megrez 90. Post processing in PS CS2 and Noel Carboni's Astronomy Tools...spank me gently!!! Alan

Alan,
So this is amateur astronomy. Sometimes things go wrong. It is the salvaging of such data that can be fun sometimes. Besides, you never know what you might catch in that data...

In this case, there seems to be something extra around the Eyes (NGC4438, MGC4435). Perhaps it comes from a guiding studder or a stacking issue. Or, maybe you got something there...

I knew it, I knew UFOs existed! 8) wink LOL!

Actually Alan, when Murphy decides to give us a hard time, everything goes wrong... and it happens in the best families too...

This one seems to be one of those "I must come back later and shoot it again" kind'a objects...

Any possibilities that your processing was a bit too much and it simply stole detail from the galaxies?

Clear skies, and keep it up! (practice makes perfection!)
