Just wondering what you guys think; decided to connect my old 20D to the back of a Celestron Omni XLT 102 refractor using prime focus. Mount is a CG-4. Unguided obviously, eyeballed north as I can't see Polaris from my balcony, plus a full moon was out. This was shot at 800iso for 20 seconds. Cleaned it up a bit in Photoshop afterwards. Now the image isn't as good as I'd like, but I think the imaging bug has bitten!

You done good.

There's lots to learn in this. And it can get frustrating. But stick to it.

Alex

(PS....Don't call it "my old 20D" cause that's my main camera, and I don't want to think my stuff is old!)

Great work James, and welcome to THE DARK SIDE... 8)
As far as getting a dedicated CCD camera, it surely means more equipment & stuff, but the results can be very "rewarding"...

I own a 1st generation Starshoot, and love it, so I'm sure you would love the NEW edition one...

Keep it up, and thanks for sharing!
