There was no rush to judgment in the processing of this image. It's been sitting half-finished on my desktop since 2007.
The nebula, itself, is in a rush. If you remember the recent images of Mira streaking through the interstellar medium (ISM) with a churning tail of material in its wake, then you'll not be surprised by the appearance of this fast-moving planetary nebula (PN) as it collides with the ISM.
It is said to be the largest PN that exhibits this kind of behavior.
You can take your time looking at this image, I obviously took my time making it.

Very Nice Dan. I will never again feel bad about processing data 4 months after
taking it.

Looking good Dan! I too have old data waiting to be processed. Perhaps I will get some time tonight. I have just been too busy lately to spend any time processing data.
Cheers,
Tyler
