Sharpless 280

Greetings,
Here is an image of Sharpless 280. It is an emission complex about 2.5 degrees South of the Rosette Nebula in Monoceros. Full size image and exposure / processing details are at:

Excellent detail & colors!

Another super shot of an unusual object! I found it in this widefield I took 12-13-07 at Red Cloud Road. Nikon 28mm canon 350d, a weak 3 x 2 minutes, but you can see the 2 bright stars in it.

I guess that you gave it the gas to get it up to that speed, Jim.
It certainly is an appropriate field of view for this off-the-beaten-path nebula.

You got quite a bit of stuff in that widefield image. Yes, you have Sharp[less 280 there as well.

Yup, I'm taking this C8 about as far as it will go. The image suffers a bit at this f/ratio. but it is selected mainly for the FOV. This can work for me because of the small CCD I use.
