Dust storm on Mars

I came across a story today about a spreading dust storm on Mars that may threaten the landers headed there.

Does anyone have any addition info about this story, such as where it's located or when it started, or any photos?

Joe,

There is indeed quite a nice little duststorm going on right new. The picture in the link you provided is from Don Parker. He shot his image at almost exactly the same time I shot my first image. I am including two links, one is of the 4 days I have photographed the storm and the other is to my December Mars images. Check out the images on Dec 12,13,14,15 for details on the images. The seeing here has been pretty bad so detail on Mars is limited, but the storm is kind of overwealming detail and shows up pretty nicely. All of my images were shot with a C8.

It's ironic the Mars would wait until it's less than 10" before the dust storm starts....**chuckle**
