A recent reprocess from 2004 with surprisingly good results. Originally acquired with Toucam Pro 740 under fair/ good seeing. AVI frames upsampled to 32 bit fit, processed in Registax 4. Best 600 frames stacked. Post processing in Photoshop, mostly 32 bit mode. Long time, no post. Hope you like it.

C9.25 @ F30
Toucam Pro 740
best 600/ 1000 frames @ 10 fps
Spring 2004, 47 deg altitude
seeing 6-7/10

Hi Eric, what an interesting high res image! The very large (dark) NEZ cloud almost looks like smoke from a Volcano or dust from an asteroid impact? Your photo brought back memories from the summer of '94, when I observed the dark clouds of dust (or smoke) that comet Shoemaker-Levy produced. Thanks for posting, Dan 8)

Eric, that's great! 2004 was one year before I started imaging Jupiter, for some reason I never thought of looking at it even though I'd bought a ToUcam in 2003...

cheers, Anthony
