Hi all,

Here is a 7 frame mosaic form 6th November.

http://www.pbase.com/slammel/image/73424413/original
http://www.pbase.com/slammel/image/73424463/original large 1.5x

One thing I noticed here is that Rima Hase seems to continue into the
double ridge around Petavius, or at least aligns with it. I hadn't
connected them before, they seem to be related though I could be
wrong. Notice how bright the eastern 'headlight' of Stevinus is
compared to the other craters, highlights well and truelly blown I'm
afraid!

10in f4.8 Newtonian, DMK 21AF04, 4x PowerMate, red filter, Registax
v4, PSE 5, 1/60s, 600/5000 frames, MAP: 12x128

Regards,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

That is an SWOL (Say Wow Out Loud) image for sure, the full size version has an amazing amount of detail, thanks for sharing.

Hi Stefan -

This really is a beautiful image. I smile at your discipline to leave the rough edges at top and bottom. I always struggle with this, hating to lop off good data for the sake of aesthetic. But I think I am one of those pretty picture guys that sometimes get bad press!
