Hi all,

Here is an image from 7th November taken in good seeing and poor visibility. There are 4 raised features to the east of Dubiago W in the centre of the mare, almost lozenge shaped and they seem to be quite flat. What can they be, some kind of dome?

They dco have a domde-like appearance from yuour image but I think they are
eroded blocks of highland material. But, I agree wityh Paolo. You should join those of us who are intrerested in studying lunar domes in the GLR.

A great image, Stefan - those swells certainly look domish to to me.

These features do show up on a couple of USGS hi-res LOIV images. I just posted this one to the LPOD gallery http://www.lpod.org/coppermine/albums/userpics/4178_h1_mare%20undarum.jpg and heres a close up of both images http://www.pbase.com/slammel/image/73196065

Perhaps the GLR group will be able to shed some light on wether these are domes or swells. Chuck Woods has also noticed between 3 and 5 concentric craters (including some strange ones) some not on his list in the LO image, its amazing what is still to be discovered in both LO and amateur images!

Regards,
Stefan
