Hello All
Just posted my first effort at Neptune. My imaging partner,Don Yacco, and i took it on the evening of the 12th of September. Image was a stack of 298 frames of 1100. Used a Meade 16" LX-200 at prime focus. Its low placement on the horizon makes it very difficult to use higher magnification in this scope.
Hope you enjoy, and comments are always welcome.
Regards
Pat

Pat, Nice shot! Did Neptune look light blue in your scope or did you have adjust the color to make this image? In my C11 it looks more yellowish/brownish and so did my image. Boosting to f25 did not bring out any more color. Attached is my latest Neptune effort. Keep the great shots coming

Regards,
Steve

Pat,

An excellent image of this far planet that is difficult to observe and image. The color you have recorded is what my eye perceives over this object. Thank you for sharing it with us all.
