outdated ccd ?

general ? about my unused, used astormart 416xte camera bought last year. The dsi ccd is color and just a tad bit smaller chip than the 416xte.

Am I wasting my time getting a color filter wheel for this seemingly outdated 1300.00 purchase from a year and half ago? The DSi is 300.00 and a filter wheel is 300.00. Or is there much more to the 416xte than the chip/pixel size indicate?

I felt that the 416XTE had seen it's days and sold mine earlier this year and bought a DSI.

Not that the 416 isn't a fair instrument but rather it's a PITA to operate.
