Hi all,
This one is from the early hours of 12th August when the seeing was quite good
and fairly consistent for the 3 AVIs in this mosaic. The libration was
particularly favorable for Bailly and the two craters Drygalski and Hausen on
the limb.
This is the first image that I have done with the occasional help of reading
glasses, which has made me realize that the enlargements that I have been so
fond of may well be pretty pointless for people with better close up vision! I
like the way the x0.9 version has turned out due to the extra sharpening that
the size reduction allowed.
The image below is a heavily jpeg'd version of the x0.9, the linked images are
much clearer -

10in f4.8 Newtonian, Infinity 2-1M, 5x Powermate, green filter, Avistack,
Registax v.5, PSE5, Focus Magic, 3 image mosaic
exposure 26 ms, gain 5.5-6.7, 100-200/2500 frames

Stefan
