Saturn with 7" MEade MAk & ToucamPro web cam

Thought I'd share this will the group. Took this through a 7" Meade Mak (prime focus and no barlow) and a Toucam Pro webcam on Oct 15th. Seeing was pretty bad about 3-4 (on sacle of 10). Would appreciate feedback... especially on colour balance.

Nice resolution.

Your color balance is off, as you noted. It's a simple problem to fix: the white point on the red channel is set too low. If you reprocess the image, and the problem occured as a result of your processing, watch out for this. If the color balance was off in the downloaded data, you can fix it by lowering the white point in the blue and green channels to match the red. The attached image shows the result of this latter approach. It makes the image a little too bright, which is what makes me think it might have been something in your processing that upset the balance.

I suggest you take a look at the histograms for the three color channels. You will immedately see why I discovered the problem is in the white point settings. The red channel histogram is much stronger on the right, while the blue and green histograms are weak on the right.
