Omega Centauri. All 10 million stars of it! What a sight in the Southern Hemisphere! The jewel of the night sky.
So how many coming over to Aussie to look at it?

Considered to be the core of a former dwarf galaxy that the Milky way has absorbed. By far the largest glob in the Milky Way.

Vixen R200SS F4.0, Sphinx mount with Version 24 firmware, drift aligned, Nikon D70, 7 x 30, 3 x approx 60 secs. ISO 1600, Images Plus, Nikon Capture Editor V4.1.

Clear Skies,

Greg.

My favorite GLOB!
We are lucky here in South Florida, in that we are "SOUTH" enough to be able to see it! Quite an amazing sight! 8)
