Theophilus, Archimedes & the eclipse

Hi all,

Here is a bit of a mixed bag of images, some old some new -

Sinus Aspertatis & Theophilus 12-Oct-06 02:43-04:26UT
http://www.pbase.com/slammel/image/75376830/original
http://www.pbase.com/slammel/image/75376881/original large 1.3x
- mosaic of 3 images, 1/60s, 900/4-6000 frames, MAP: 12x128
this is a bit of an odd one - the top right section was taken nearly
two hours before the other two sections (and at maximum gain, the
other two were at 760) and needed rotating to match so the shadow
lengths are a bit mixed up here. Not ideal at all but I
couldn't resist it ;-)

Archimedes & Apennines 26-Feb-07 20:35UT

v4, PSE 5

Stefan,

Incredible image and detail in sinus, aspertatis theophilus ... that's all I can say.

Stefan,

To my eye they are all superb images! I just love the overall effect of the Archemedes/ Apennines/Hadley image, its beautifully composed and processed, one worth printing out and framing!
