OK, I've given in to the temptation of acquiring a "REAL" astro CCD camera. But, is ABG or NABG better for someone doing non-scientific oriented imaging?
I know NABG is far more sensitive (i.e. short exposures) but star spiking is common. ABG eliminates the star spiking but requires longer exposures.
I will be doing most of my imaging from very light polluted backyard (<3.5 magn visible on most nights).
Any suggestions?
Are SBIG better entry/intermedeate level cameras? Or is Starlight Express a better entry/intermedeate level option?
Have experience with teh SAC7b and have gotten decent results, but my light skies and the 8-bit mode just do not permit me to "extract" as much detail from the background as I would like.
