Hi,
Hope I'm not OT, but I am interested in learning how you take such wonderful pictures with TouCams and the like. I have a Tak FS102. What should I get to start this extension to my visual use of the scope? Please point me to any tutorials or helpful information on what camera to buy, how to interface to my telescope, and what software is used to stack the images. I get the impression that taking lots of webcam type images and stacking them is an inexpensive and fun way to image. Thank you for your help!!

Go to QCUIAG web site and find two well written tutorials by Dr. Wainright (on the left column index) on using the shareware AstroVideo program to process CCD images. It has a beautiful graphical presentation that takes you step by step through all the settings and proceedure. You will not regret downloading the latest AstroVideo 21-day program and the Dr's OUTSTANDING tutorial. Money back guarantee!! -LarryS.

Hi John,

if you already have an ordinary Digi Cam you can use that too!

Wes Higgins had brillant success with his Olympus 2100UZ.

About coupling it to the telescope check this (here are also included example pic of Wes. Just use "search")
