Venus - 1 day 3 hrs

Hi again, I know its not pretty but I had my arse kicked today getting this image. I spent 3 hrs imaging and hardly got anything that registax will even work with. Super Cottonwood fuzzies made finding the planet harder than ever and the seeing was the worst. There was very little contrast to use to focus but when the sun went under a cloud I had a second to nail it and lock it down. On the bright side...between using the mask and cleaning the front glass, looking at the planet through an EP was far easier today than the last few days or so even without a dew shield. Clean optics are a must for this more than shielded light. Here is my very humble offering of Venus and her extended cusps taken at approx 18:30UT. The best 7 frames out of 65 using a 70mm refractor and a 3x barlow and extender, Canon XTi @ 100asa.
