OK here it is, if I were to purchase an 8" f10 SCT and connect my Canon Rebel XT, how big of a FOV would I be able to expect in my images? Just prime focus here, no f6.3 reducer included. Then with the f6.3 would my field increase dramatically or would that largely be to reduce exposure times?

Well, at F10 should have a FOV of 38.7' x 25.8'.
At F6.3 you should have 60.4' x 40.3'. This was calculated with "The Sky" field of view calculator. Vignetting might still be noticable @ F6.3 but it will be much less when compared to 35mm film.
So, your FOV gets just shy of twice as big and you benifit from shorter exposure times.
