Okay, you got a sct reducer to 6.3f - what do you want your guider to be? I have heard something about half ...so, what is best? to be greater than or less than the scope taking the picture.

There was a thread on this some time ago in this Forum.

It came down to: (depending on whether to are using an autoguider or not). With autoguider, you can use shorter. Witout an autoguider, try for the longer than imaging. Whether you use separate scope, or get the extrafocal length through barlows, etc, does not matter.
