Folks,

And here's my first prime focus picture
of M31. I intend to go back for a deeper
exposure to compose with this one. Comments
welcome.

Tak Sky-90 @f/4.5, 30 minutes, Elite-Chrome
200, normal processing.

Cheers
Todd

Hi Guys,

I'd like to ask a silly question out of inexperience. I've noticed that the Takahashi's seem to deliver fantastic DSO images even when the scope size is relatively small, and they seem to outbeat the usual 8" SCT and all. I am wondering is it because the the scope is just simply fantastic optically compared to the common SCT's or is there something else that contributes to these beautiful images. Other then having a good mount for tracking and clear skies, what is it that makes a good shot?

Thanks

I happen to notice this pic is featured on the Anacortes web site http://www.buytelescopes.com/gallery/gallery.asp?c=850 very well done. I also live on the east side of Mt. Hood, where exactly did you take this from? Do you belong to any club around here? (Rose city?)
