Something to look at while the moon is full..
These are from last year's October Lunar Eclipse.
The first one is a composite of two exposures, and I combined them to reproduce what I saw in the eyepiece. This is really close to what it looked like using my eyeball and scope. The haze is due to weather conditions at the time...clouds and kind of hazy. In fact, there were some raindrops coming down as I set up the scope. Fortunately only a few. I got a lucky break through the clouds partway through the eclipse and was able to get these shots in.
