Nasty Spider at Lunch.....

8O This image shows a view of one of these 'bad-ass' spiders having lunch in my backyard here in Rhode Island!

I dunno. I was really fascinated by these gals when I was a kid. Whenever I saw one of those webs up, I'd find myself one of those big black ants in our garden, catch it, and throw it onto the spider's web. And lots of times I'd repeat. It was fascinating watching the spider wrap the ants in silk.

The spider was probably thinking it had hit the jackpot when I'd throw maybe five ants onto its web. It was also probably thinking "man, these flies sure taste strange!"

We ran out of those big black ants..... 8O
