As a guy who has been on the wait list since before I could legally vote (not really, but a very long time none the less) for a 130EDFS and a 10" MAK from AP I hate to see them auctioned off unused.

Roland, just change your prices to market rate (obviously $20K+ for the 10" MAK shocked ) and keep the profit yourself. Then minus the speculators, maybe the list will get down to those who really covet the instruments.

I don't know what it is about people and why they seem to think that it is unethical
to buy something and sit on it then sell at a later date. Yeah that is what some people do
But those of us who have bought 10 inch Maks that is myself and unless there is a major
change in my life such as loss of employment or I'm declared terminally ill with cancer with less
than a month to live I don't think I'll be selling mine. Most of us who have bought the 25 or
so 10 inch Maks only three to my knowledge had or are being sold. One individual had a AP 7 inch F9
come in his direction. Another indidvidual sold his 10 inch Mak along with a lot of other
items to finance his own business and the third one was of course Herb who has every right to
sell what ever comes his way. If he makes money then so be it.

There have been a number of people over the years who have flipped AP scopes for a modest
profit but if you really look into it, the stock market really is a better bet over the long term.
But if you really looked into who bought what and who sold there equipment I think you would find that
most people keep there equipment for a very long time. I still have my AP 130 F6 that I purchased
from AP in 1996, In January of 1999 I took delivery of my AP 155 F7 and two years ago I acquired my
10 inch Mak and my AP 92mm Stowaway.

The only AP items I've sold were my AP 400 QMD and my AP 600 QMD in order to afford my AP 900 goto that
I acquired in October of 1998. Since then I have acquired and sold off my 14 inch Newt on German Eq mount.
Celestron 9.25 Ultima, my Brandon 80mm Seeing is believing 1986 scope. When I bought the AP 130 F6 I sold
my Brandon 94mm Apo with a Vixen DX mount. When I took delevery of my AP 155 F7 I sold my Quantum six maksutov.
If you must know how I did on my trnasactions. I made money on the Quantum six that only after I had owned it for 20 years.
The 94 Brandon and the DX mount I basicallybroke even and the 14 inch Newt and the Celestron 9.25 I lost money.
That is where my score card currently stands. Now if I should sell any of my AP stuff in the future it really is
not anyones business but my own. Whether or not I make money on the deal is really no ones business but my own. But
don't look for that not any time soon.
