Came across a white C5 spotter today. Focus on it is "rough". Focus on all the other S/C's that I had were smooth and even loose feeling. This on focuses sharply but is rough. Not tight, but rough. Does it need to be lubricated?

Could be due to any number of problems including the thin layer of grease on the baffle tube or problems with the threaded shaft. Try moving focus to both limits a few times and see if that helps.
