I want to piggyback a William Optics 66mm Zenithstar Petzval refractor OTA, also I have a ZenithStar 80 that will pull dual duty as a guidescope and a grab-in-go. I would like to know what the best way for mounting these two scopes (not at the same time)on my 10" LX200. Would I need to a counterbalance? Please help point me in the right direction, I have the newer LX200 GPS (less than a year old. Thanks smile

Hello Robert!

Are you running in Alt-Az mode or Polar mode? The weight counterbalance systems could be different, depending on your configuration...

I have my Orion ED-80 Piggybacked on my 10" LX-200GPS, and use the Losmandy dovetail & rings system... a wonderful set up, but heavier than others since it is solid aluminum...

Here is a link to them... (not cheap, but some of the best)

Remember that ATWB carries this stuff, and you might be able to get them at a discount price... so check this site for the parts you find at this link... wink
