I've been scouring the web and cannot discover whether there is a mounting plate that will allow the Tak clamshell to be used on this mount. Does anyone know of such a beast?
Most ads proclaim Tak to Losmandy / AP / CGEM, to such and such an adapter, but I've yet to find one that says:"Use this if you want to mount your Tak clamshell on an HEQ5"
Any help much apprecited."
Thanks.

You can use the narrow Orion dovetail bar attached to the tube Takahashi tubeholder. You have to drill and tap 8mmx1.25 holes 35mm on center in the dovetail bar.

Then you can mount the tube holder to the Orion dovetail.
