Tripod Leg Question

I am looking at an NJP to replace my EM-200. The NJP has medium legs and I probably need the tall legs currently used with my EM-200/FS-152 combo. Is it possible to simply switch the wooden legs to the NJP top plate (assuming the width is correct) or do I need a tall tripod specifically for the NJP?

The way the EM200 mounts (single centre point mount) to the wooden tripod is different to the way that the NJP mounts (3 point mount with 10mm bolts I think). Takahashi makes tripods in various lengths so you should be able to find an X-Tra long leg length tripod. Ask the boys at Anacortes or Art at TNR. The NJP is the only mount in the Takahashi range that has this three point equatorial head to tripod set up. There is an adaptor to adapt the NJP & EM400 configuration but I am not sure they have one to go from EM200 to NJP.
