I have a 27mm Panoptic which I like very much for the low power viewing. I was considering changing to the 22mm Nagler. Looking for pros and cons, pincushion, edge sharpness, contrast, and just general enjoyment of the view. Any one done a hands on comparison? --Dan--

F-8, 127mm achro refractor
I also have a 55mm eyepiece and a 14mm uwa

once had a 20mm Nagler type 1, but sold it,
nice views, but not enough Eye Relief for me

I don't think the Nagler 22 would have enough ER, either. I have a Pan 22, and it's not got enough...but should you go with the Nagler, put me on your list for buying the Pan 27...

Dan,

I have purchased both of these eyepieces. I still own the the 22T4. I purchased the 27mm Pan first and when using it in my f/10 system I swore I would never sell it. Some how the 22T4 came in the picture. Same ER, larger TFOV and higher mag I figured I would give it a try. IMO, both eyepieces are great, but the Nagler edges the Pan in contrast. Both were sharp to the edge in my f/10 system.

Hope this helps,

Pernel
