Physicists At CERN Observe Clear Signs of the Higgs Boson
Scientists at CERN made an announcement about the Higgs Boson (aka the "God Particle") this morning. The Higgs Boson is a subatomic particle that has been predicted to exist, but has never actually been observed... Until now. Finding the Higgs Boson ties up a loose end of the Standard Model of physics, which requires a Higgs-like particle to exist. "We have reached a milestone in our understanding of nature," said CERN Director General Rolf Heuer. "The discovery of a particle consistent with the Higgs boson opens the way to more detailed studies... and is likely to shed light on other mysteries of our universe."

This certainly clears it all up for me....
????????? These guys are too smart for their own good.
Glad you're cleared-up. I still don't understand how a particle with mass gives itself mass. As far as it being the last missing piece - I thought the Graviton was still missing.

Please advise, if you know the answers. Thanks!
