Kentuckiana Star Gaze and Messier Marathon Party

The Louisville Astronomical Society presents the first annual Kentuckiana Star Gaze and Messier Marathon Party at scenic Taylorsville Lake State Park. RV and tent camping available at the observing site for a small fee, along with boating and hiking. Restrooms and shower facilities available. Saturday activities include speakers and door prize drawings. Please join the LAS for this inaugural event.

The CHIEFLAND FALL STAR PARTY is open to non-members. It is a full blown week-long dark sky observing event for serious observers and astrophotographers only. EVERYONE, INCLUDING CLUB MEMBERS, MUST PRE-REGISTER TO ATTEND, NO EXCEPTIONS! Registrations must be postmarked by Oct. 1. All others will be returned. Registrations are not refundable but are transferable. Registration for the event is a flat $40 per person, $20 for Spouses or Children over the age of 15yrs. Registration is for either the entire week or just one night *****Due to the star party becoming too large and overtaxing our facilities, there will be no on-site registration and no walk-in registration. Sorry, if you are not preregistered you may not attend and will be turned away at the gate.*****
