Christian, how long ago since you sent him the money?

I sent John a Private Message.

He seems to have quite a bit of good transactions, and one that was rated poorly... this is rather odd that he would do anything to harm his reputation in Astromart.

Maybe something happened to him and that's why he has not responded to you in a timely manner?
I would give it some more time, even though I understand it is hard to do, but at this point in time it is best not to do anything harsh... your dream scope might still be on it's way to you...

I searched through his ads, and found ad# 469326, which states PICKUP ONLY... did he changed his mind and decided to ship overseas? (that's quite a change of mind...)

By the way, HOW did you pay? PAYPAL? Wire Transfer?
(any way you can tell that he cashed the money?)

Have patience my friend..., we'll see what we can do from here... 8)

I sense the transaction is probably a good one. I have been given bogus UPS tracking numbers before due to typo's (spelling errors)and upon contact of the sender find out the true number. In this case of not being able to contact him, like Ivan said, he might be out of town or having email problems. I sent a scope to Australia and it took a month due to customs! So give it some time due to that.

Christian, I can understand you being concerned, but I would not get too worried yet.
I shipped an eyepiece to Italy once, and it took quite some time to arrive.
The postal service is one thing, but customs is really where the delays occur.
I have had trouble with tracking numbers before too, and the item arrived anyway.
It was good of Ivan to send a PM. Perhaps it will be answered.
I have a feeling John Won is away from home for a while.
His feedback certainly looks reassuring.

I think it is much too soon to be worried. I have seen
packages get stuck in customs for many weeks, "lost"
for a year, delivered to wrong place (shipped overnight
from Belgium -- addressed to Maryland -- delivered to
someone in Florida!?). Many packages don't scan right
and don't show up in tracking system. Just relax.
Astromart people are 99.99% reliable; postal system
is only 98% but they will find it eventually.

Everyone....

Do NOT post personal information in the forums. I have deleted Christian's post that lists a personal phone number:

4.2.4. Anacortes Telescope prohibits the transmission, distribution or posting of any matter which discloses personal or private information concerning any person or entity, including without limitation phone number(s) or addresses, credit/debit cards, calling cards, user account numbers/ passwords or similar financial information, and home phone numbers or addresses;

You can use AM messaging or personal emails to relay personal information. This thread is approaching public lynching levels without the other side's input. AM Forums are not the place for this activity.
I fully understand Christian's dilemma and appreciate everyone's desire to help Christian out, but take it off line and keep personal information off of the forums, please! This thread is for answering/resolving RATINGS ISSUES. Thank you for your cooperation! shocked

So Christian, did you get the scope? Was it OK? I see you left Mr. Won 5-star feedback on this transaction now.

But his account is still frozen?

Christian,
USPS now says the scope was delivered!?
Do you finally have your dream telescope?
