Astomart-aholic - 10 Step Program ?

I think I must have a problem. I log into Astromart every morning at work and find myself constantly hitting the refresh button to see what's new for sale. The problem is I really don't "NEED" anything at this time. In fact, I've got an 8" LX200 that has set in it's storage case for over a year ever since I got an NS11. Just can't seem to part with it and you never know when some great accessory might come up for sale.

I'm up to step 1 - I've admitted I have a problem. Hi I'm Brian, I'm an Astromart-aholic, I have Excessive Compulsory Accesory Disorder.

However, the rest of the steps elude me.

What's a person to do !!! Buy more stuff?

I have the same problem. Astromart is set to my home page. Sometimes its just nice to see some of the stuff I may never own.

In January 2003, my New Year's resolution was to be off the Top Astromart Users list. With much hard work and self restraint, I managed doing that after about three months. It worked for the rest of the year. Lately, I've been backsliding--you know, sneaking a sale here, a trade there. I just checked and aggghhhhhhhh!!!!!! I am back on the Top trades list. Do I have to go all the way back to Step 1 or can I return to some intermediate step. Someone stop me . . .pls. . . .

Like you Brian, I am afflicted by GAS- Gear Acquisition Syndrome. It's a life-long battle. Keep looking at Astrom.....errr, keep looking up.

OK, I feel your pain! I feel that anyone that has purchased too many items should just donate them to a good cause.
Take for instance ME! I am a fine cause, cause I show no control over my desire to possess fine equipment! Cause I have no limit to my need for better and better views! Cause my wife lets me! Cause I am a nice guy! :^)
See, I am a good cause.
I will help with you obsessions, or any other fine brand of DOB for that matter. ;^) I even accept Refractors!
Hey, what are you waiting for? My postman is a nice guy too and he needs the work! :^0

Hi Gang,
This thread is a scream.I sat down to the computer tonight remarking to my wife (Leni )that I was going to see if their were any good battles going on in the forum tonight ( just kidding guys ).Everytime I read one I chuckle and nod my head. Our son and daughter come over with the grandkids and I have to show em what dad has new.Their latest comment: Dad now don,t spend it all -- But kids this is so darn fun.

As always, thanks a ton for all the fun, Dave

Step 4--Remember there is a higher power than Al Nagler, Tom Back, Roland Christen, Carl Zambuto, Rick Singmaster. . . etc., etc., etc.

Keep coming. It Works if You Work It.

>>find myself constantly hitting the refresh button to see what's new for sale<<

That explains why nearly every time a Nagler gets posted it's sold within minutes.
