Looking for some suggestions for the best EP for viewing the Orion Nebula at F/6.5. I'm sure there is much experience in here.

Doug,
I'm not saying its the best, but for the money it would ba a good choice. The Meade 4000 QX 36mm would give you a 5.5mm exit pupil. What's the focal length of the scope?

There is one of these eyepieces selling on astromart for $85.

Clear skies,
Jay

In my 80mm refractor at f/7.5, I use a Siebert Optics 22.5mm Ultra eyepiece. It has quickly become my favorite eyepiece for open clusters and large objects. I use a 14mm Meade UWA as higher power eyepiece on DSO.

I tried a 35mm Panoptic, but the sky darkening effect using the 22mm is much nicer IMO. Maybe something like a 24mm Pan?
